Hinckley BID is an organisation set up to support the businesses of Hinckley Town Centre. Increasing footfall within the main shopping area of the town is one of their main priorities. They approached us to help bring their 2022 treasure hunt to life. We proposed a digital-first solution allowing participants to scan QR codes around the town centre to follow the trail. This years theme was all things spooky as the event was held during Halloween.
Gigglox is always in a good mood—so much so that his laughter echoes through the monster world! He finds joy in the smallest things, from a wobbly rock to a funny-shaped cloud. Some say his laugh is contagious, while others say it’s so loud it can wake up sleeping volcanoes. Either way, if you hear a deep belly laugh in the distance, you know Gigglox isn’t far away!
Drakko may look tough with his sharp fangs and piercing eyes, but deep down, he’s just misunderstood. He prefers solitude over socializing and spends his time perched on rocky cliffs, watching over the land. Legends say he once protected a great treasure, but now he mostly guards his collection of shiny rocks and cool-looking sticks.
Blaze has a short temper – and an even shorter attention span! He’s constantly fidgeting with something, whether it’s a wrench, a flame, or a mysterious invention. If you need something fixed (or blown up), Blaze is your monster!
Frankie might look stitched together, but his dance moves are seamless! He’s the life of any monster party, always showing off his best boogie. If you hear funky music at midnight, you can bet Frankie’s somewhere grooving to the beat.
Deep in the ocean caves, Tentakra keeps watch over hidden treasures. Some say she can whisper to the waves and call forth giant sea creatures. Others say she’s just really good at playing hide-and-seek with the fish.
Snaggle has the biggest smile in the monster world – and the biggest appetite! He’s always on the lookout for tasty treats, and he’ll happily trade a joke for a cookie. Just don’t ask him to share his dessert – that’s where he draws the line!
Blurf only has one eye, and it’s always half-closed because he’s perpetually exhausted. He loves to nap, but his enormous size and strange snoring sounds tend to scare away potential nap buddies. He just wants a fluffy pillow and some peace!
Chomp is always in a bad mood, but not because he’s mean – he just hasn’t had a proper nap in years! He spends his time grumbling by the swamp, waiting for someone to tell him a good bedtime story so he can finally get some rest.
Zylo is a futuristic guardian of the cosmos, protecting lost travelers from space dangers. With his glowing energy core and high-tech vision, nothing escapes his sharp gaze. Just don’t ask him to dance – he’s got two left feet!
Slink loves a good prank! Whether it's hiding someone’s socks or making spooky noises in the dark, he’s always up to mischief. But deep down, he just wants to make friends – even if his jokes sometimes get him into trouble.
Despite his fearsome fangs, Bumblehorn is actually quite shy. He bellows loudly whenever he gets nervous, which is why most creatures mistake him for a menace. He dreams of one day being a stand-up comedian, but his stage fright keeps getting in the way!
Grimble might look fierce with his huge teeth and wild eyes, but he’s just upset because he lost his favorite snack – a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. He spends his days grumbling through the woods, hoping someone will share their lunch with him.
